Klaus Schulze
Klaus Schulze was born on August 4, 1947 in Berlin, Germany and rose to fame with the German avant-rock bands Tangerine Dream and Ash Ra Temple. However, he did not stay long with either of these outfits and went solo in 1971 with the album “Irrlicht” (“Will-O’-The-Wisp”). Soon afterwards, he started to use synthesizers for his sonic experiments. Records such as “Timewind” (1975), the porn soundtrack “Body Love” (1977) and the sci-fi inspired “Dune” (1979) put Schulze at the forefront of electronic music. Schulze is still busy churning out records.
