Kenny Wayne Shepherd

An absence in the modern blues tradition was created when Stevie Ray Vaughan died, and Kenny Wayne Shepherd seems to be the guitarist who has risen above the competition in the search for a successor. Following in the shoes of his heroes, Albert King, Robert Cray and Muddy Waters, among others, is not an easy task, and Shepherd does an admirable job playing mean and dirty electric blues guitar. No mean feat for a player of such a young age.
