Keith Richards is the longest smoking cigarette in rock and roll and he is of course a founding member of The Rolling Stones. He was the ryhthm guitarist of the band and his riffs became a trademark in songs such as "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction". Richards faced some serious drug problems during the 1970's but he always managed to record new music. Outisde of the Stones he made some solo attempts with the band The New Barbarians which included Ron Wood. Richards also founded the The X-Pensive Winos and released the albums "Main Offender" and "Talk Is Cheap". Both records didn't sell well.
