Jean-Michel Jarre

Being responsible for the epics "Oxygene IV" and "Equinoxe VI", French god of synthesizer Jean Michel Jarre went down in music history. Born on August 24th, 1948 in Lyon, France, Jarre originally started out being a jazz musician before leaning towards electronic devices during the seventies. In 1977 his concept album "Oxygene" marked his big break, consisting of six variations of the same theme. "Equinoxe" from 1978 did equally well but it took Jarre until 1997 to pick up the pieces with "Oxygene 7-13". In 2004 he released "Granges Brulees".
