British singer-songwriter James Blunt will launch his first-ever headlining U.S. tour March 13th in Washington, D.C. The twenty-date trek is in support of his debut, Back to Bedlam, which has been giving other U.K. acts (namely Coldplay) a run for their money, snatching the Number One British chart position from Chris Martin and Co. on the strength of the hit single "You're Beautiful."
Blunt is no stranger to big audiences, having opened for Elton John. "Our second gig ever was to 25,000 people!" he told Rolling Stone. "It felt like a summer festival, outdoors and sunny. We had the time of our lives."
Blunt will get to relive the feeling when he plays the Coachella Valley Music Festival in Indio, California, this April. And before hitting the road, the crooner will warm up with a pre-Grammy party performance at Los Angeles' House of Blues on February 7th.
