Henri Salvador

Henri Salvador is an astonishing talent, not only an incredibly gifted guitarist, songwriter, and orchestra leader, but also imbued with an entertaining, engaging wit. In the mid-30's he played as Django Rheinhardt's accompanist. By the end of WWII he was the leader of his own orchestra. He performed for a week on the Ed Sullivan show. A chance meeting with Boris Vion led to a fruitful writing partnership. Together the duo wrote some 300 songs, including "Faut Rigoler". In 2000 Salvador recorded "Chambre Avec Vû", which quickly became a classic.
