Hanin Elias
Hanin Elias was born 1972 in Germany as the daughter of a Syrian doctor. Growing up in Syria, she returned to spend her teenage years in post punk West Berlin and quickly was drawn to punk, gothic and rockabilly music. In joining agit techno punk outfit Atari Teenage Riot, she found an outlet for her teenage angst and feminist ambition that was shared by audiences chiefly in the U.S. and Japan. Mellowed out by motherhood, she released her solo debut "In Flames" in 2000 on her own Fatal Recordings imprint, following up with "No Games No Fun".
