Gaye Bykers on Acid
The Gaye Bikers On Acid formed in Leicester, U.K. in '86. Mixing hip-hop, dance beats and drag appearances by their platform-booted frontman Mary Mary, the Bikers released their debut EP "Everythang's Groovy" in '86. Media darlings from the start, they gave their fans lots to talk about and even created fake alter egos like the Lesbian Dopeheads on Mopeds. Although the Bikers smartly sold the vinyl version of their '87 album "Drill Your Own Hole" without one in the middle it was not a success. The Bikers disbanded at the outset of the nineties.
