Exit-13 have that rare quality in a Grindcore band: a sense of humor. The 1996 po-faced Lounge opus Smoking Songs is a challenging listen, even for most of the band's hardcore devotees. Famous for their uncompromising commitment to deep ecology and the legalization of marijuana, they're musical iconoclasts as well, incorporating sheering Industrial noise into highly technical Grindcore on their early releases.
