Eat
Eat were an alternative pop/rock band from London, England. Formed in the mid-80's by singer Ange Dolittle, Eat started out as an act devoted to the sound of bands like Creedence Clearwater and other blues groups. They released their debut LP called “Sell Me A God" in 1989. Due to Dolittle's drug addiction, Eat disbanded soon after this release, and took several years to reform. The singles “Golden Egg”, “Bleed Me White” and “Shame” announced the new sound of 1993's "Epicure" LP. Both LP's were moderately successful, but failed to capture a wider audience.
