Multi-platinum country trio, The Dixie Chicks will appear in a television concert special this December on NBC. The Chicks -- singer Natlalie Maines and sisters, banjo-picker Emily Robison and fiddler Martie Maguire -- recorded the concert at Los Angeles' Kodak Theater August 15th and 16th, supporting their third album Home, due August 27th
Directed by Joel Gallen (America: A Tribute to Heroes), the telecast is the band's second, following 2000's successful Dixie Chicks: On the Fly. This year's special will feature songs from their up-coming record as well as from 1998's Wide Open Spaces and 2000's Fly, which have sold over seventeen million copies.
