Diam's
French rap artist Diam's was born in Cyprus in 1980. At the age of 18, Diam's signed with BMG Music Publishing France before signing with Universal Records in 1999. Diam's debut, "Premier Mandat", was released the same year, but she had her first big hit with the single "DJ" from her 2003 album, "Brut de Femme". The record went gold while the single made the Top 10. In 2006, Diam's released the album "Dans Ma Bulle". The record sold 60,000 copies in the first week after its release and the first single, "La Boulette", became a smash hit. It was number one on the French charts for six weeks.
