Deep Dish

Originally from Iran, Ali "Dubfire" Shirazinia and Sharam Tayebi began their music career in Washington, D.C. in the early '90s. Collaborations with Brian Transeua (BT) and Detroit's Carl Craig, and with Danny Tenaglia's help getting them signed to Tribal America, the duo quickly became a dance club favourite. Tracks like "Mohammed Is Jesus" and their double disc "Renaissance Ibiza" (2000) reveal a reoccurring religion theme and indeed, their hypnotic and progressive House can truly be a spiritual experience.
The pair are also known for their remix skills, with Dido, Madonna, The Rolling Stones and Justin Timberlake being just a few of many who have benefitted from said prowess. Like many DJs, if you passed them on the street you might think they were secondary school teachers, but Deep Dish are still hot property across the globe.
