Originally from the Bay Area, San Francisco, Death Angel are unique in that they are all cousins, and were all extremely young when they gained popularity in the 80's. Their debut album, "The Ultra Violence" (1987) on Enigma Records, sold 40,000 copies in four months. In 1990, Geffen Records signed Death Angel. They subsequently released one of the most ambitious thrash metal albums ever recorded, "Act III". The band split up in the same year, after the band's tour bus crashed in the Arizona desert. Reuniting in late 2001, they toured the US and Europe culminating in "The Art Of Dying" (2004).
