Davy DMX
Although known mostly for his "One For The Treble" single, Davy DMX actually played a prominent behind-the-scenes role in the making of many old school classics. He worked extensively with Run-D.M.C., producing much of their first few albums. He also did many beats for the Fat Boys, and penned the lyrics for two of Kurtis Blow's biggest hits "The Breaks" and "If I Ruled The World." In 1990, he and Hurricane (the Beastie Boys' original DJ) headed The Afros, releasing the LP Kickin' Afrolistic. Davy DMX also runs several music-related businesses, and toured as the Sugarhill Gang's DJ in 1999.
