Cut Copy was the brainchild of Australian Dan Whitford. Whitford, the group's frontman and DJ, created this electro-pop band in 2001. It took him a couple of years to get a full band together for the project, but in 2005 he was finally ready to tour. Cut Copy toured in London, New York, and Los Angeles, among other cities. The group performed with musicians such as Franz Ferdinand and Junior Senior. Cut Copy released their debut LP in 2004 with "Bright Like Neon Love". The outfit’s debut EP "I Thought Of Numbers" was released in 2001.
