As frontman for legendary Ska band the Specials and then the acerbic Fun Boy Three, Terry Hall's most pop-oriented musical venture came in 1984, with the advent of the Colourfield. A big sound, glossy production and strong pop hooks failed to ignite success, and the Colourfield disbanded three years later with two albums to their credit.
