Chris Wall
Chris Wall's narratives of drunken debauchery seem like authentic journals written from a double wide trailer home parked adjacent a Gilley's honky-tonk in the late 1970s. Wall began swapping songs with Guy Clark in the late 1980s before hooking up with Jerry Jeff Walker who asked Wall to record with him. He also recorded his own material which surfaced as 1990's Honky Tonk Heart and 1991's No Sweat. After a seven-year recording hiatus, Wall released 1998's Tainted Angel. Backing band Reckless Kelly are skilled Alt Country, Honky-Tonkers that add layers of atmosphere to Wall's less-is-more songwriting.
