Four years after becoming the 1976 World Champion Bareback Rider, Chris LeDoux embarked on a prolific country music career, but it wasn't until ten years later that he gained national prominence. In the meantime, he recorded over twenty albums of Cowboy songs, selling them independently on the rodeo circuit and building a loyal following. A 1992 collaboration and subsequent tour with Garth Brooks brought him to the forefront of the industry; he's remained there ever since. LeDoux offers a mixture of traditionalized Cowboy music and New Country hits that feature his weathered vocals and state-of-the-art, radio-friendly backing.
