Chicago

Music > Chicago
Chicago, one of the most successful American soft rock bands, was formed in, yes, Chicago, IL in 1967. The band's debut "Chicago Transit Authority", a double album, quickly became a hit on the airwaves and reached the Top 20 without producing a hit single. In 1971 the band, which consisted of classically trained as well as self-taught musicians, managed to lift their 4-disc box set "Chicago at Carnegie Hall" into the Top 5. After almost 30 successful albums, Chicago leased their early offerings to re-packaging specialist Rhino Records in 2002.
