Brass Construction
Brass Construction are considered by many to have been one of the 70's most influential funk outfits. The group originally formed in Brooklyn, NY in 1968, but it was not until '75 that they released a self-titled debut LP, which went platinum on the strength of the hits "Moving" and "Changin". Throughout the 70's, the band released "Brass Construction" II, III, IV and V, but only the singles "Ha Cha Cha" and "L-O-V-E-U" were successful. The band faded in popularity in the early 80's, but in '88 hit the charts when EMI issued a remix LP. Many "Greatest Hits" albums have since appeared.
