Billo's Caracas Boys
Billo Frometa left the Dominican Republic for Venezuela on New Year's Eve 1937, and shortly thereafter was the toast of Caracas with his big, brass-heavy orchestra. Famous for his boleros, or romantic songs, Billo's orchestra was fronted by many different popular singers over its long history.
