Beyonce Knowles knew she wanted to be a star from an early age, singing with her church choir and taking dance lessons in her formative years. She formed the first incarnation of Destiny's Child in 1990 when she was a mere nine years old and by 2001 the highly successful trio began concentrating on solo projects. Knowles nabbed one of the lead roles in Mike Meyers' Austin Powers: Goldmember; an appearance in MTV's Carmen: A Hip Hopera cemented her reputation as a formidable entertainer in a variety of fields. Her solo debut, Dangeriously In Love, came out in the summer of 2003. The first single Crazy In Love was a duet with future husband Jay-Z which showcased Beyonce's booty and their chemistry, zoomed to the top of the charts and the Texan girl has never looked back. 2008 album I Am... Sasha Fierce unveiled Beyonce's alter ego Sasha, the sassy arse-shaker we've all come to know and love - that there was another side to Beyonce was the shocker. Single Ladies was dubbed single and video of the year by any critic with an ounce of sense and today, more than ever, it seems that Beyonce truly is the first lady of pop with Jay-Z her Prince Charming.
