Be Bop Deluxe

Led by Bill Nelson on guitar, Be Bop Deluxe was a Beatles-influenced rock band who formed in the early 70's in Great Britain. The band initially featured Ian Parkin on guitar, Robert Bryan on bass and Nicholas Chatterton-Dew on drums, but Nelson sacked the musicians after the release of the band's debut album, "Axe Victim", in 1974. For the band's next record, "Futurama", Nelson recruited drummer Simon Fox and bassist Charles Tumahai. The band's lineup was finally completed in time for Be Bop Deluxe's third album, "Sunburst Finish", which boasted the Top Ten hit track "Ships in the Night".
