Progressive rock band Barclay James Harvest was formed in September 1966 in Oldham, England, by guitarist John Lees, bassist Les Holroyd, keyboardist Stuart "Woolly" Wolstenholme and drummer Mel Pritchard. Emerging with their debut LP on the Harvest label, the same label that released Pink Floyd at the time, the act had trouble communicating their music to the public. The 1973 LP “Everyone Is Everybody Else” marked a change for the better in their popularity. One of the group’s high points was a free concert on August 30, 1980, in front of 200.000 people at the Reichstag in Berlin.
