Album Review

Arab Strap's third record is a wonderfully thick, dark collection of thumping, medicated backdrops and frontman Aidan Moffat's increasingly disturbing lyrical forays. With each record, the group (esp. guitarist Malcolm Middleton) become more adept at creating dark vistas that alternate humor with graphic emotional baggage. "Cherubs" showcases this best.
