Equipped with a gnarly voice and fantastic songwriting skills Chuck Prophet first appeared on the scene as a member of the band Green on Red, a forerunner of the Paisley Underground. The band broke up in 1992 and Prophet put all his energy in his already running solo career. His best work to date was the album “Homemade Blood” from 1997, followed by the almost as good “The Hurting Business” from 2000 and “No Other Love” with its stunning title track ballad, which was covered by the rock band Heart in the new millennium. Prophet works and lives with partner Stephanie Finch.
