Adrian Sherwood
The producer Adrian Sherwood (born in 1958) took his first steps into the music business as the founder of a number of short-lived labels in the late seventies, but it was only when he founded On-You Sound in 1979 that his name became known to a wider clientele. He produced acts such as the New Age Steppers and Public Image Limited, but is best known for his work in the reggae genre. He produced the outfit Tackhead over a number of years and finally released an album under his own name (and with lots of famous guest artists) in 2003, “Never Trust A Hippy”.
